Riedels Garden Center is a family-owned business that has served the landscaping and gardening needs of people in the Hays Kansas area under the guiding hands of owners Darran and Lori Riedel since 1992. Darran began as an employee at Lessman Garden Center and eventually bought the business from Myron Lessman. Darran continues to work with and guide the landscape crew as Lori takes care of the bookkeeping in the office.

Darran and Lori maintain a business that thrives with an emphasis on two guiding principles: Quality and Knowledge. At Riedels Garden Center, they take pride in offering the best quality products and services for their customers. Their team’s knowledge is what keeps customers coming back for more.

Working Hard to Meet Your Gardening and Landscaping Needs

Riedel Garden Center owes its success to its dedication and hard work, and it starts with Darran, who grew up on a dairy farm 30 miles west of Hays in WaKeeney.

“I think it was my years on the dairy farm that taught me the importance of hard work,” says Darran “Dad was a stickler for doing things right, and that work ethic was instilled in me from a young age.”
